sadness…

Although it truly is beautiful, the overwhelming emotion I feel coming through here is just sadness. It’s been said many times before, but seeing what has happened to Native American communities is just overwhelming. The poverty is astonishing, and it is clear that the people here rely on tourists (like me) for so much of what they need. I just can’t even really begin to explain it. Just…sadness.
