Day Nine was spent blissfully relaxing high in the mountains at my parents’ place in Estes Park, CO. This is a beautiful place, over 7,800 feet high, with the mountains all around me, a real bed to sleep in, and a day with absolutely nothing to do. Well, nothing other than:
- Sunday brunch at The Other Side, a local restaurant that has a huge brunch buffet and that we’ve gone to for probably 20 years now;
- Laundry;
- Posting pictures from my trip to the family farm a few weekends ago;
- A great home-cooked dinner, courtesy of my mother.
All in all, while not exactly an action-packed day, one very well spent and a blissfully needed “vacation from my vacation”. Also, the very first day I shot absolutely no pictures at all.
Next up: Wyoming, Laramie, and points further…in whatever direction I feel like going.
